Car Polish and Car Wax

Car Polish and Car Wax

At Overland Carwash we have recognized that many fellow Angelenos are still not fully familiar with the difference between Car Polish and Car Wax. The two are different and they also serve different end goals.

Car Wax is a good option when you want to seal and coat the finish of the car to protect it from the weather, dust, dirt and much more. Generally it's accepted that you get your car waxed a couple times per year or possibly seasonally.
Getting a Car Polish however consist of an abrasive paster/material being "polished" on the the surface of your vehicle. It is commonly used to treat the cars finish and bring back its shine and luster. This is accomplished by literally polishing the outer surface of the paint and rid it from contaminants that have baked into the cars finish.

While Car Wax can be compared to putting on sunblock to protect your skin, Car Polish is more similar to using an exfoliating glove. With proper information on the differences between Car Polish and Car Wax and by consulting your car wash expert at Overland Carwash you can now make a more educated choice for your car.
